Looks like you’re going to need both your brolly and your sunglasses this weekend as it’s a bit of a mixed bag…
The weekend is finally here! But what kind of weather is it going to bring with it? Well, judging by the forecast over on Met Éireann we’re in for a bit of a mixed one.
Rain will slowly creep it’s way down from the north on Saturday morning and will reach the south of the country by the start of the evening, covering the country in one seriously ugly looking weather front. Take a look.

This will continue to move on south throughout the night leaving the north and east fairly cloud free for the rest of Saturday night/early Sunday morning. As for the south, it will remain fairly cold and the rain could be heavy in places, so low lying areas could see some spot flooding.
As for the rest of Sunday, here’s what Met Éireann has to say, “The last of the rain will clear on Sunday morning and sunny spells will develop in most areas.
“It’ll be milder than recently with temperatures recovering to more normal values for the time of year, though it will stay cooler in the southern and eastern coastal regions due to moderate onshore east or southeast winds.
“Further inland, winds will be mainly light. Sunday night will be mainly dry as well in light variable winds. Fog might develop in some inland areas.”
