The Government measure has riled people up and down the country struggling to make ends meet, but there have been some serious errors of judgement in what comes under the property tax.

A soldier was issues with the property tax for his digs at Cathal Brugha Barracks recently, and this tweet today from Sinn Fein’s Pearse Doherty is another example.

Doherty is an outspoken critic over the tax – though he is outspoken about most things it has to be said – but we can’t see the government recouping tax from this dwelling on Gola Island off the coast of Donegal.

Not surprisingly the tweet is proving popular with disgruntled members of the public.
