The Russian daredevil Valery Rozov (pictured above) has set a new world record by jumping off of Mount Everest. There has to be a quicker way down?

We’ve seen lots about Everest in the news lately as Irish lads show their county colours on the top of the world (Donegal, Mayo) but a Russian bloke by the name of Valery Rozov has set a record for jumping off the mountain 7,220 metres above sea level.

The 48-year-old has spent the past two years gearing up for the massive jump and he says a lot of time was spent creating a one of a kind wing suit that would be able to handle the tough conditions.

It took Rozov and his team of Sherpas and camera crew four days to reach the jump point and it marks the 60th anniversary of the first successful climb to the summit of Everest.

It’s quite impressive…
