It’s lucky that the woman in this incredible footage wasn’t killed as she hurtles into a low wall. It all caused by the by the force coming from the back of a jet engine.
Where is this crazy place where airplanes take off only feet away from a public beach? Why it’s Maho Beach, on the Caribbean island of Saint Martin, which is famous for its close proximity to Princess Juliana International Airport.
The airport has a short runway so aircraft have to get as close to the beginning of the track as possible, which means getting fairly close to people sunning themselves.
However the woman in the video should have know about the dangerous of the jet blast as there are signs dotted around the place like the one below:
