Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has warned that Balotelli’s career could be out the window within two years and he admitted he would “probably” sell him this summer.
Mancini said that he fears Balotelli may turn out to be what Mourinho said he would be, ‘unmanageable’. This comes after the 21-year-old was once again sent off the pitch for some unnecessary antics, this time in City’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal.
Mancini said: “He needs to change his behaviour if he wants to continue to play.
“I saw in my life a lot of players like Mario that are fantastic, arrogant guys. But, after, they lose all their talent like this and they finish in two or three years. Mario is this way.
“He could be my son, and I understand when you are young, you can make some mistakes. Mario is a guy who’s made mistakes. I hope for him, not me, that he can change.”
Balotelli was given a three match ban for his red card however he may also face a further three match ban is a decision is made against him for an earlier tackle in the game.
Balotelli got away with a knee high challenge on Arsenal midfielder Alex Song, but the FA will more than likely punish him for that challenge if referee Martin Atkinson confirms he and his assistants did not see it.
Mario has to be wondering, ‘why always me?’
