The main attraction at the Bavaria City Racing event is undoubtedly the F1 cars, but all you rally fans have something spectacular to look forward to.
We’ve already brought you the good news that rally legend Eugene Donnelly has been confirmed for this year’s Bavaria City Racing event on June 3, but there’s much more rallying to be done on the day.
Rally fans can feast their eyes on some serious classics such as the Porsche 911 Belga, the legendary Audi Sport Quattro and the Toyota Celica, just to name a few. However, it’s the Group B’s that will definitely steal the show.
For those of you who wouldn’t be overly familiar with the Group B cars, they were an extremely popular class of car back in the 1980’s. Their popularity was mainly down to the fact that the cars were glorified two ton missiles, manned by two extremely brave men.

Only the brave got behind the wheel of a Group B car
After one too many accidents in the super powered cars, the B class was considered too dangerous to continue and was replaced by the Group A instead. Thankfully for the hardened rally fans all over the world, the group B cars still show up at special events like Bavaria City Racing.
A few of the other big rally cars on show on the day include the Audi Sport Quattro S1, the late Colin McRae’s World Championship winning Subaru 555 WRC, the Opel Manta that won the Circuit of Ireland rally in 1984, the 1981 Monte Carlo World Rally winning Renault 5 Turbo and the Peugeot T16.
So whether you’re a hardcore rally fan or you’re just partial to seeing super powered rally cars tearing around tight city streets, you’ll want to check out the Group B’s at Bavaria City Racing on June 3.
