Here we have a video of a DIY enthusiast as he drops the roof off his car by using the do-it-yourself approach.
With weather like this, there’s only one way to get from A to B, and that’s by driving a sexy drop top convertible like the VW Golf Cabriolet. However, thanks to the infrequency of good weather in Ireland, most of us drive car with a solid roof.
So what do you do if you want to drop the top but you happen to drive a car with a solid roof? We wouldn’t recommend it, but you can do what this guy did…
While at StanceWars (a modified car show) 2012 in Belgium, the owner of a Lexus LS decided to fire up a mini generator and go to town on his trusty car with a mechanical saw.
It takes him roughly eight minutes to turn his car into a convertible, which is pretty impressive in fairness, but we can’t help feel like his warranty is somewhat voided.
In what can only be described as a hilarious twist of fate, it starts raining heavily as soon as the roof of the car comes off.
If that’s not a bad omen, we don’t know what is.
You can watch the video in full or skip through to 7 minutes to see resulting modification.
