If your bed is a tad uncomfortable in certain places then just hook it up to magnets and let it float in mid air, like this guy did.
We can see this being the most comfortable bed in the world, but the downside is that it looks like a lot of effort is involved in making it yourself.
The amateur inventor posted photos his the construction on the popular internet site Reddit.com and it gives you a step-by-step guide for building your very own floating bed. You can see the build in much more detail over on imgur.com.

There’s a good two inches of float
All you need to make your own floating bed is a whole load of wood and a good few solid neodymium rare earth magnets the size of hockey pucks. The magnets cost the Redditor around €60 each and he used about 10 to get the bed to float off the ground.

Rare earth magnets with several hundred pounds of force
According to the Redditor, the bed can hold the weight of an 18 stone man, but judging by the size of the bed, it’s only made for one. A single bed is connected to a bigger base by steel cables and the magnets that are housed in both the bed and the base make it float like a magic carpet.

The base of the bed
The total cost of the project was about $1,000, which is about €800 – not too bad for a floating bed.
