After a dominant first-half performance at Parkhead tonight, the lead just before the break was the least Celtic deserved. And what a goal it was.
Kris Commons won’t hit many sweeter strikes than the one that brought Celtic back into the tie as they look to overcome a 2-0 away defeat to Shahktar Karagandy from the first leg.
Right from the whistle the tone was set, with the home side dominating proceedings, but it looked as though they would be unable to get the first of at least two goals they crave until Commons stepped up with the break looming.
Taking the ball from Samaras after the forward went on a dribble outside the box, Commons smashed a long range drive into the net to send the supporters delirious.
And it took less than two minutes after the interval to get their second goal when Samaras got in on the scoring act to leave the tie level on aggregate.
