So much for the heat wave that was supposed to last the weekend and today, as the forecast looks mainly cloudy with outbreaks of rain.
We hate raining on people’s parade, so that’s why we’ve left it up to the weather as it’s more than likely going to p*ss all over your parade this week. Last week we reported that the weekend and the start of this week was going to be glorious as a heat wave should have made its way north from Spain.
However, it looks as though that heat wave was knocked off course slightly and we didn’t get half as much good weather as we were expecting.
According to the meteorologists over at Met Éireann, today will be mainly cloudy with outbreaks of rain in the west and north of the country. The rain will gradually spread to other parts during the day, but the southeast will stay mainly dry and the northwest will become drier and brighter as the day goes on.
As for the south and west coast, mist and fog will persist for most of the day so keep your eyes open if you’re on the road.
Highest temperatures will reach 17 to 22 degrees, and it will be warmest in the east. As for the wind, it will be moderate to fresh and it’ll be blowing in from the southwest.
We hate to say it, but it looks like our summer is still quite a bit away.
