According to the weather boffins over in Met Eireann, the weekend weather forecast doesn’t look too favourable.
You better get the most out of the weather today, so pull a sickie or tell your boss where to put his job because the sun won’t be hanging around for you. Today will see mostly dry sunny spells for the majority of the country while the northwest and north wee see some passing showers throughout the day.
As for the weekend, Saturday will sadly see widespread heavy showers countrywide, so if you’ve already made plans then you might want to start making a plan ‘B’. There’ll be some bright or sunny spells in between showers and it will be a fresh day with highest temperatures 14 to 17.
The showers on Sunday will be mainly confined to the northern half of the country with Munster and south-Leinster staying fairly dry. However, there will be a fair bit of cloud cover so don’t expect to get a tan.
It’s always dodgy trying to forecast too far into the future, but according to the predicted satellite images the start of next week could see the good weather returning once again. We’ll have to wait and see.
