Today’s Google Doodle features a cool interactive slalom canoe game that lets users race for the gold. We wonder how much productivity will be lost today…
Over the past few days the internet search giant Google has been changing it’s usual homepage logo for Olympic themed Doodles. So far we’ve seen 12 different Olympic Doodles which included, table tennis, field hockey, basketball, javelin, fencing, diving and archery, just to name a few. The full list of Olympic Doodles can be seen over here (along with every other Doodle ever made).

Be careful not to hit the frog!
The slalom canoe event was actually modelled off slalom skiing and it first featured in the Olympics in Switzerland in 1932. It only became part of the official Olympic programme in Barcelona in 1992.
The Olympic event consists of a 250 meter track that features white water rapids and various gates that the competitors must accurately negotiate otherwise they incur a time penalty.
