Many would be a little angst-ridden at missing the opportunity to play in an All-Ireland semi-final but Conor Mortimer seems to be taking it in his stride.

Mortimer who is playing for Parnell’s seems content with his decision to leave the Mayo panel earlier this summer after seeing minimal game time under Mayo boss James Horan.

The Connacht champions take on reigning All-Ireland champions Dublin on September 2nd in the All-Ireland semi-final and in their quest to win their first Sam Maguire since 1951 and many who are missing out on that type of glory might feel a little upset at missing out.

With captain and star forward Andy Moran out of action for the clash against the Metropolitans there are some who would like to see blonde-haired attacker make a return to the panel for some additional firepower but both Mayo and Mortimer seem to be content with the decision for the time being.

Both sides seem to be taking the mature attitude and for Mortimer it must be nice to be able to get a break after many late summers with Mayo:
