In case you didn’t know, the former Green Party politician Paul Gogarty – who we’re sure some of you voted for at one point or another – is currently in a band called His Sweet Surprise. Well, when we say band, it’s actually just his stage name.
Yea, we know what you’re thinking, but here’s what he has to say about it: “I wanted something that separated me as a politician and media commentator from my musical work.
“A lot of people think that you have to be one thing or the other and there is a feeling out there that any musical output from a politician, even a former one, is likely to be a load of rubbish.”
