A bloke over in the UK managed to win a whopping £50,000 on the TV game show ‘Deal or No Deal’. More surprisingly, he managed to spend it all in just four months.
Any separated fathers out there? Well then you’re going to bloody love this…
The Daily Mail reports that a father of two named as Scott Brown kept his cool on the UK TV game show ‘Deal or No Deal’ and walked away with £50,000 (roughly €63,000). However, he was adamant that his ex-wife wouldn’t see a penny of it.
Now, you have to remember that it takes four months from when the show is recorded to when it is aired. So that meant Scott would only have four months to spend his dosh before his ex-missus caught wind of his win.
Not wanting his ex to take away ‘more than she already had’, Scott splashed out spending £15,000 to clear all his debts, £2,000 to cover legal fees for a divorce, £4,000 on a second hand car, a holiday and a few other toys for himself and the kids.
And according to the Daily Mail, Mr Brown was right to suspect that his ex-wife – who he said asked him for a divorce on Christmas Day, 2011, when he allegedly found she had been having an affair with a truck driver she met over the internet – would want to cash in on his lucky break.
Apparently, as soon as the show aired Mr Brown’s ex was straight down to the courts to get her ‘share’ of the winnings.
Sadly for her, they had pretty much dried up by that stage.
Is he a hero? We think so…
