The Apple iPhone 3GS will soon be a thing of the past as Apple has announced they’re to drop the model once the new iPhone 5 is released.
Out with the old and in with the new. That’s the mantra coming from Apple Inc. this week as they’ve announced that the old iPhone 3GS will see it’s end once the new iPhone 5 is released later this year.
So what will that mean for anyone with an iPhone 3GS? Well, getting spare parts to keep your 3GS running will no doubt be a little bit easier – but that’s just going to prolong the suffering. The iPhone 3GS has been on the go since June 2009, however, sadly it can’t keep up with the younger, faster, smarter generations.
The iPhone 4 will now become the entry-level iPhone while the iPhone 4S will become the next step up.
The new iPhone 5 will come equipped with a new, 40 per cent smaller nano sim. The smaller sim allows for mobile phone companies to design smaller, thinner and lighter phones then ever before.
Don’t worry though if you’re already queuing outside an authorised Apple dealer, as you’ll be able to swap all your numbers over to the new styled sim in store.
