A warning has been issued to Irish partygoers and anyone who partakes in a bit of recreational drug use as there’s a lethal brown powder drug currently doing the rounds.
Gardaí last night issued a warning to anyone who may come in contact with a brown ecstasy-like drug that killed two young men in Cork recently. It’s a grim story alright, but it’s better if you know what to look out for…
The drug in question is brown in colour and has the same texture as cocaine, but it is known to also contain Methylamphetamine (MDMA Ecstasy) and Paramethoxymethamphetamine (PMMA) – we’ve never heard of it either…
Fears are now growing that more of the killer powder is being sold across the country and dealers will be looking to get rid of the stuff as soon as they can.
The HSE south released a statement that read, “If someone gets into difficulty after consuming a substance it is critically important to get help immediately by calling the emergency services.
“Symptoms associated with the above substance include high fever, rapid heart rate and agitation.”
