If us Irish haven’t been lambasted over our stereotypical drinking habits before then we’re sure to hear it soon as an ‘Embarrassing Irish Nightlife’ Facebook fan page goes viral in the US.
There’s a Facebook fan page that has been in operation for about a month now, but it only recently caught the attention of the US news site Irish Central. Now, it’s gone viral.
The page is dedicated to posting the most horrifically embarrassing photographs that have ever been taken on a night out. In case you haven’t heard nor seen anything about the page, it features everything from dropped hands to dropped trousers… all in the middle of the dance floor.
She’s just having a disco nap
There’s even a picture of some poor lad who decided to go for a nap at the foot of a big bronze statute… only to shit himself in the process.
The Facebook page also has a regularly updated Tumbler blog, which reads, “The Irish are known for their craic and banter. That means nights out that are messy. We need your photos! Tag us in them now and get them featured on our wall! Irish clubs or Irish people.”
Now, some of you might think there’s some privacy issues involved, but here’s what the lads at ‘Embarrassing Irish Nightlife’ had to say: “Facebook is a public forum. If you don’t want people to see your boozy nights out, maybe don’t post them on Facebook…?”
