Last year Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas responded to fans constantly asking him what the deal was with a movie version of the short-lived, but much loved cult series by telling them to put their money where their mouth was. The result was a crowd-funding record – they looked for $2 million from fans and ended up raising $5.7 million.
Now, the first trailer for the Kristen Bell led flick has landed and it looks like fans are in for a treat. In the promo an apprehensive Veronica finds herself returning home after nearly a decade to help out an old friend who has been accused of a *does Taggart voice* murder.

We love Kristen Bell. Like, LOVE. To the point that if you spoke ill of her we’d be worried about what we’d do to you SO SHUT UP.
Eh hem, soooo yeah, we’re big fans of the stunning and talented actress so naturally enough we’re quite looking forward to this.
While a US release has been slated for March, an Irish date is yet to be confirmed.
