We’re not sure how long this has been going on for, but apparently there are some ATM’s in London that actually have ‘Cockney’ as a language choice. It’s hilarious.
If there’s one sure fire way for banks to get you to use their ATM’s it’s by throwing in some random language choices, like cockney. At this ATM in London, Cockney is a choice and instead of taking out cash using your bankcard you take out ‘sausage and mash’ with your ‘bladder of lard’.
If you haven’t been brushing up on your Cockney slang here’s a bit of a dictionary:
Bladder of lard = card
Rattle & tank = bank
Sausage & mash = cash
Dog & bone = phone
Huckleberry Finn = PIN
Charlie Sheen = screen
