Concert organisers have confirmed that the Slane concert will be returning for 2013, but they’ve yet to announce who’s headlining the show. Could it be the Stones?

Music journalists across the country are tipping the Rolling Stones as the headline act for Slane 2013, which was confirmed today as definitely going ahead after it’s one year hiatus in 2012.

However, the organisers haven’t said a word about who the main act is going to be, so until they make the announcement the notion of the Stones headlining is just speculation.

A press conference has been called for this coming Tuesday when organisers will finally announce who the headline act is going to be. Other names hotly tipped are Muse, The Script and Greenday.

If the Stones are announced as the headline act it will see them playing the venue for a record three times – the only band to do so.

The announcement is expected at 11am on Tuesday at Slane Castle, so we’ll just have to wait until then.
