At John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, it’s a tradition to throw toilet paper onto the field after the first basket of the year. This year was no different.

It seems like a bit of an odd sporting tradition, especially for a private Christian university, “ranked first in best value among Southern regional colleges”, but that’s American sports for you.

According to the college website, “At the first home men’s basketball game each season, on the first FIELD GOAL by JBU, toilet paper is tossed onto the floor by fans.”

The team incurs a technical foul because of the TP throwing, but they don’t care because it’s counted as the first technical foul of the year, plus it’s pretty cool to watch.
