Donegal creates weather forecast website because it’s sick of what RTE has to say

Forget Philadelphia, from now it's always going to be sunny in Donegal.

Forget Philadelphia, from now it’s always going to be sunny in Donegal.

Donegal County Council has decided to start up their own weather forecast website because they’ve complained that RTÉ portrays the north-west as a constant wash-out. However, according to the council, Donegal had a scorcher of a summer this year.

“We had a good summer in Co Donegal, but anyone watching RTE would have thought it rained all the time,” Letterkenny Mayor Dessie Larkin, told the Irish Independent.

The council previously wrote to the national broadcaster claiming that their ‘inaccurate’ weather reports were hurting visitor numbers. However, Met Eireann, who provides daily forecasts for RTÉ, disputed these claims.

Here’s the new donegalcocowinterweather.ie website if you care to check it out…

Personally, this is all we could think of:

Please note you will not find any form of blackjack or hookers on the donegalcocowinterweather.ie website… sadly.
