David Fleming and Mark Horgan’s Austin Mini had a near miss with a fully grown Irish red deer at the Killarney Historic rally last weekend and here’s the footage to prove it. Just make sure you’re wearing earphones thanks to some NSFW commentary… they nearly hit a deer after all.
We’ve seen these types of videos before where the poor deer just can’t get out of the headlights in time. Thankfully, on this occasion, the deer ran out in front of the supped-up Mini with enough time to get out of the way.
Now, this close call is pretty impressive, but it’s the on-board commentary that definitely makes the clip. It features some typically Irish commentary and as the lads just had a brush with death – while doing 100mph on a windy country road – there’s a bit of salty language in there too.
“I’ve no more lad”, “OH LAD…”. “I’m going back with the rifle to kill that c***”.
Priceless…
