Last week we brought you the news that a giant inflatable snowman named Snowy had been stolen from the centre of Wicklow Town – everyone was very sad. Thankfully, we’ve learned today that Snowy has finally been returned home.
It was a tad ironic that a giant inflatable snowman designed to bring a bit of extra cheer to Wicklow Town was stolen in the run-up to Christmas, but thankfully the crooks in question saw sense and returned Snowy to the centre of town.
The first we heard of the good news was from RTÉ reporter Will Goodbody who tweeted this earlier this morning…
The tweet is of Snowy who was left at Fitzwilliam Square in the centre of Wicklow Town beside the Robert Halpin monument and beside the giant deflated snowman lies a sign that simply reads “sorry”.
Obviously the thieves were afraid someone would rat them out for the ‘Christmas treats’ that were promised to anyone with information leading to Snowy’s discovery.
