Flying an ultralight can be a fairly dangerous task, as this couple in the US recently found out.
An ultralight is defined as a small, light, single-seater aircraft, so there’s no prizes for guessing that when something bad happens it happens pretty quickly.
In the video below, it appears as if the couple had some engine difficulty in their small ultralight plane while flying over a dense forest.
Luckily for the pilot and his missus, there was a completely clear stretch of road for them to land on, which the pilot managed to do thanks to some serious skill.
The plane hits the road hard pretty hard and quickly veers off to the right, but thankfully both the pilot and passenger survive with little more than two pairs of soiled pants.
