Do you have the Christmas shopping sorted? If not you’d want to get cracking because Irish retailers are running low on their Christmas stock.
According to the retail experts from Retail Excellence Ireland (REI), Irish shoppers are snapping up some of this year’s most popular Christmas gifts so quickly that retailers could run out of stock before the big day.
The likes of iPads, laptops, e-readers, games consoles and toys – like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – are all flying out of the shops quicker than expected, which means you could end up looking like the Grinch who stole Christmas if you don’t get your shopping done in time.
Now, whatever you do don’t leave it until the last minute. There are worries that a lot of Irish shoppers (probably all men, we will admit) will wait until the weekend before Christmas – the 21st and 22nd – before they buy the last of their presents and this is sure to put untold pressures on retailers and staff.
So get out there this week if you haven’t got something already and avoid the last minute rush for a change.
