We imagine Snoop Lion, or Dogg, is a fairly busy fella but we still wonder how it took him eight days to hear Celtic made the last 16 of the Champions League.

It must be hard being an international rap Doggfather like Snoop. With new albums to produce, touring, singing with Santa and a bit of free time to partake in his well-known favourite hobby, there probably aren’t enough hours in the day.

But the man whose mother knows him as Calvin Broadus Jr has certainly let his knowledge of Scottish football slip of late.

In the last few weeks we brought you news that Snoop wanted to invest in the Glasgow giants while Celtic boss Neil Lennon said he was looking forward to partying with the rap star if and when he got involved with the club.

But it seems since those heady days of November, Snoop has gotten distracted so it took him until last night to tweet his congrats to the Bhoys for overcoming Spartak Moscow and making the knock-out stages of the Champions League.

In fairness, we haven’t seen anything from Dr Dre, Jay-Z or even Vanilla Ice about Celtic’s mighty performances so Snoop deserves a lot of credit for handing out some kudos to the lads.

Still, what has he been doing since December 5?
