One in three men believe they’re better looking after a few scoops

A new survey conducted by Cancer Research UK has debunked a few boozy myths about men’s misconceptions surrounding the effects of alcohol… and just in time for the office party too.

Do you think you’re quite the Don Juan after a few pints? Or maybe you think you turn into the next dancing sensation after a cocktail or two? Well it’s not uncommon for men to think booze actually makes them act differently in a good way.

The survey found that nearly 33 per cent of blokes think they’re more attractive to the opposite sex after they themselves have had a few drinks. One in five lads believed they were better in the sack after a few scoops, while almost half (43 per cent) claimed they were funnier when drunk.

However, the survey of 4,000 people didn’t just ask the lads what they thought they were like with a bit of drink on them. The survey found that only 13 per cent of women thought their man was sexier after they had a drink.

Around 30 per cent of the women questioned said their man was not funnier when drunk, 42 per cent said booze made their man useless in the sack while a further 42 per cent of women said they hated when their partner was drunk.

So maybe think about that before sculling back a few pints in order to find the courage to ask Sarah from accounts for a quick one on the photocopier… Just drink responsibly instead.
