If Ryan Giggs has played his last game for Manchester United, then this is a fitting tribute to all he’s achieved in his remarkable career to date.

The 40-year old and current interim manager made what could well be his last appearance at Old Trafford after bringing himself off the bench during the victory over Hull on Tuesday night and was emotional after the game when delivering a speech to the home faithful thanking them for their support over what has been a pretty terrible season.

Giggs looks set to be handed a coaching role under Louis van Gaal if and when the Dutchman takes charge of the Red Devils in the coming days but even if he does end up hanging around, he was still a worthy recipient of the lifetime achievement award at United’s end of season awards do last night.

To mark the occasion, the club made a tribute video in his honour with contributions from United legends such as Paul Scholes, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Alex Ferguson and high-profile football figures like Alessandro del Piero, Pele and Michel Platini, all of whom paid glowing references to what he’s achieved in over two decades at Old Trafford.

Oh and Robbie Savage was in there as well.

A lovely touch.
