We’re pretty sure that this firework display – or what was left of it – is a serious contender for FAIL of the year.
The Hot-Air Balloon Festival of Myannmar, formerly known as Burma, attracts huge crowds from different neighbourhoods who all compete to see who has crafted the best hot-air balloons. It attracts aircraft of all shapes and sizes built by amateur balloon lovers competing for pride.
Sadly, this year’s festival had a bit of a hiccup when one of the balloons that was carrying a payload of fireworks, caught fire and erupted over the heads of onlookers. To make matters worse, it really took light while some people were standing beside it.
Instead of running for their lives, the onlookers, who obviously wanted to get their money worth, just stand and look in awe. It’s a bit strange as to why no one seems that worried about the fireball erupting in front of them. Then again, it’s not everyday you see something like that happening in front of your very eyes.
