We all love seeing the underdog come out on top, which is why we get so much enjoyment out of videos like this.
Here we see a humble VW Touareg as it takes on the might of the Chevy Duramax pick-up – sounds like a condom – in the international redneck sport that is ‘truck tug-of-war’. At first glance it’s clear that the Chevy is the bigger beast, however, bigger isn’t always better.
The two drivers are given a countdown and as soon as they take off the Chevy truck lurches forwards only to start juddering backwards as the Touareg gains some traction. The VW then pulls the Chevy back a few feet as the onlookers hoot and holler over the unexpected outcome – like good rednecks do.
Thankfully the VW driver didn’t rub his impressive win in the face of the poor emasculated Chevy driver (unlike this guy), but we’re sure it’s a day he won’t forget for a long time.
