What’s the one thing you’ve always wanted to say to Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg? Well now you can finally do it for the small fee of $100.
Facebook have been playing around with different ways to generate revenue over the past year and we’ve seen things like the Facebook App Store popping up as well as a new ‘pay to direct message’ service. The pay to direct message service has been tested in places like the US and New Zealand and it allows you to directly message someone’s inbox (even if you’re not friends with them) for the small fee of $1.
However, the guys over at Masable recently discovered that messaging the company’s CEO will cost you a cool $100. You can still message him for free, but it will go to his ‘Other Inbox’.
Some of you might not know about your ‘other inbox’, but it’s there when you open up all of your messages. It’s used to keep spam and the likes out of your regular message feed. So if you want to make sure your message is actually seen by the man himself, then you’ll need to fork over the money.
According to a Facebook spokesperson: “We are testing some extreme price points to see what works to filter spam.”
