The Tesla Model S is one of the rare good-looking all-electric cars and it sounds incredibly cool at full throttle.

The Tesla Model S really is one special car. It’s kind to the environment, looks great and it can take on any number of petrol and diesel cars without breaking a sweat. To top this off it sounds like a fighter jet taking off when it’s strapped to a DynoJet testing platform.

The purpose of strapping the Model S to the Dyno was to see how much power the Model S could really put down, and for an all-electric car the stats are quite impressive.

According to Tesla’s own records the 85kWh battery can churn out 416 bhp, but like every other car company on the planet, they can be a bit bias at times. The test above recorded the Tesla at 386 bhp and the peak power only started fading at the car’s top speed of 210kph – that’s roughly the same as a high-powered Mazda3 or the world’s fastest shopping trolley.

But who cares about the stats; just listen to that gorgeous (electric) engine…
