While us low land dwellers may have escaped the worst of the weather, up in the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks the weather, and the view, were much more spectacular.
The good people at Newstalk don’t tell us who took this snap but whoever they are, they deserve to be applauded. Firstly for climbing Ireland’s highest mountain on the coldest day of the winter so far and secondly for taking an absolutely class picture.

A snow-covered Carrantuohill, and the surrounding blanket of cloud, look fantastic. We’re not sure we will ever get up there in snowy conditions so pictures like this will have to do.
