A biker gang in the US grouped together and shut down a motorway for a good ten minutes, just so one of its members could propose to his ‘old lady’.
We’ve seen some pretty elaborate marriage proposals in the past, but we’ve never seen one that caused so much disruption in such a short space of time.
Boing reports that the biker gang who shut down a section of motorway in West Covina was the Subliminal 710 Bikerz, while the L.A. Times names the new happy couple as Hector Martinez and Paige Hernandez.
Now, while the new couple are over the moon, the same can’t be said for the California Highway patrol. They’ve had to put up with a few unofficial highway closures over the past week – see here – and they’re now trying to find those responsible for this latest stunt so they can hand out some citations for impeding and blocking traffic.
Whatever happened to just getting down on one knee in the middle of a fancy restaurant?
