Expect more snow and sleet today as we’re in for some scattered showers that will more than likely freeze thanks to the cold temperatures.
Make sure to take it handy on the roads and paths this morning, as it’s still quite icy in some places and you don’t want to end up like this guy (it never gets old).
According to Met Éireann, we can expect frequent showers, many of them falling as hail, sleet and snow during the morning, with a risk of blizzard conditions in some places. Those snow showers will turn to rain and hail during the day as things heat up slightly, with any lying snow expected to melt early on.
The rain showers will be heavy at times, with scattered thunderstorms, but there will be a few bright spells and the showers will tend to become more scattered later on this evening.
Things aren’t looking so bad for tonight and tomorrow with only light scattered showers expected in the west of the country, but all in all it looks like it could be a nice clear day, albeit a cold one as temperatures will stay between 0 and 4C.
So make sure to wrap up warm.
