The Geneva Motor show has kicked off which means we finally get to see what the world’s biggest car manufacturers have to offer. First up, the new Lambo.

The Lamborghini Veneno (Spanish for venom) is the fastest car Lamborghini has ever produced, which makes it a bit special. To make it that bit more special, only three Venenos will be made, one in green, one in white and one in red – representing the colours of the Italian flag.

“When we have a small [production] run we have much more freedom in design,” said Lamborghini chairman Stephan Winkelmann.

The 335km/h car is based on the V12-powered Aventador and boasts a 6.5-litre V12 engine capable of reaching 100km/h in just 2.8 seconds. It also features a pretty nifty carbon-fibre backbone seen on most F1 cars.

The carbon-fibre car has garnered quite a lot of attention on the first day of the Geneva Motor Show, but we’ll have to wait and see what Ferrari have in store later on today before we decided if the Veneno is our no.1 supercar choice from this year’s show.
