Were you caught in traffic on the M50 heading south this morning? Well this could have been the reason why…
Someone had an unexpected start to their morning today when the engine of this second generation Renault Clio erupted into flames just off the Stillorgan exit of the M50.

Traffic was held up for around a mile as motorists slowed to avoid the stranded car, and to have a good awl gawk. We’re not too sure how the driver of the Clio fared, but here’s to hoping they’re okay. According to reports, the car has been removed from the scene and traffic on the M50 is back to normal.
Hat tip to Brendan M. for sending this our way.
