Known for making sure their own children, no matter what age, are okay and fully fed, they will often resist any attempts by others to make a fuss of them. This tweet from radio presenter Marty Miller probably illustrates this perfectly.
The Radio Nova presenter did the decent thing and offered to take his mother out for lunch, but was met by a response that many others will have heard in similar positions throughout the country.
Such an Irish mammy response, and we have no doubt it was a better meal than any restaurant could have served up!
