There’s a hell of a lot going on over the next few days…
The 2014 National Ploughing Championships get underway tomorrow and will run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Ratheniska in Laois. The championships seem to grow and grow every year with 200,000 people expected to show their face this time around, it really is a mammoth event.
Some people people call it the ‘Agriculture Electric Picnic’ and any time we’ve ever been it’s been up there with the best craic we’ve had anywhere so we’re positive this year will be no different.
The sheer scale of the festival is hard to explain but we reckon this photograph taken by Skyfly Photograghy over the site in Laois at 7pm this evening gives a pretty decent idea of what people can look forward to over the next few days. Enjoy it, folks.

Thanks to Skyfly Photography for the pictures.
