Sergio Garcia showcased his incredible golfing skills at the 2013 Arnold Palmer Invitational yesterday by hitting a one-handed chip shot out of a tree… while standing backwards.
Some amateur golfers find it hard to hit a golf ball even when it’s sitting up nicely on the fairway. Sergio Garcia, however, has absolutely no problem hitting a great chip shot when he’s standing up in a pretty big tree.
Not only did Sergio hit the ball one-handed while balancing in a tree, he also hit the shot backwards with his back to the pin, so he definitely gets extra credit for that. It happened on the par-4 10th hole, but it wasn’t enough to bring Sergio back into the game and he was eventually cut at +3.
“First, I went up there to identify the ball and then saw that I could make the shot with just one hand,” Garcia told ESPN.com. “Luckily, it went well.”
