A bus driver in China is being called a hero today after he managed to stop his bus after a massive pole smashed through the windscreen hitting him in the head.
Mao Zhihao from Jiangshan, in China’s eastern province of Zheijang is being labelled a hero after he helped all 26 of his passengers to safety following a horrific looking crash. Check out the video below.
According to Sky News, the pole smashed through the windscreen of the bus following a separate collision between two cars. Zhihao can be seen talking to someone and then hitting the brakes before jumping down and out of the way of the oncoming pole.
“I was pinned down by the lamppost and put the bus into gear instinctively,” he said. “I just wanted to slow the bus down.
“I couldn’t see the road, and tried to drive it to one side of the road. The bus hit the guardrails and finally stopped.”
