We can’t help but laugh…
When JOE was growing up we always used to play football in the back garden with our brothers and the golden older brother rule always applied.
For those of you that may not have a little brother then the golden rule states, “In the likely event of shots being taken, it is the duty of the youngest sibling to be the goalkeeper as he has the football repeatedly driven at his head tries to save wave after wave of powerful shots”.
In the interest of fairness we did swap positions with our little brother but he never could score past us, maybe it was because we were older and stronger. It might also have to do with the fact that we had just used his head as target practice 5 minutes earlier.
Good fun all the same.
Take a look at this super slow-motion clip of a football hitting this young kid in the face. We know what you’re thinking, if only he managed to use his hands to stop the ball rather than the inevitable tears that followed.
