There was quite a bit of controversy earlier today when Tiger Woods seemed to be facing a strict punishment from the Masters Committee for his drop on the 15th yesterday, escaping disqualification and coming away with just a two-shot penalty.
By all accounts, the drop seemed outside the limits, and as Tiger himself pointed out in a series of tweets, it was his interview afterwards where he stated he’d dropped it a few extra yards back that could have gotten him in hot water (his explanation starts from the bottom tweet on this one):

To the surprise of very few, the guys at the Masters decided to keep the biggest name in golf in the tournament heading into the weekend.
This won’t be an extremely popular move though after the Committee decided to punish youngster Guan Tianlang for slow play on Friday, after which Tiger is reported to have said “the rules are the rules”.
Unsurprisingly, Joey Barton had an opinion on this and he reckons Tiger should leave the competition.
