At least Danny Cipriani was able to laugh at his own expense after his unfortunate accident

Last night’s collision with a bus was not the first time Danny Cipriani was in the wars and probably won’t be the last, but at least he was able to have a laugh at his own misfortune.

Cipriani was kept in hospital overnight after being hit by a bus while on a night out with his Sale team-mates in Leeds – his manager said he misjudged the speed of the bus while crossing the road… riiiiiight –and although he suffered a concussion and sore ribs it could have been a lot worse for the controversial out-half, he was hit by a bus after all.

Details about Cipriani’s accident were sketchy early on so people were obviously eager to hear what happened and when the explanation came, it was tinged with some dry humour from the man himself.

Well played Danny, well played.
