We don’t necessarily agree with their choices…
In what was a great year for hurling, there were some absolutely magnificent scores in this summer’s All-Ireland hurling championship.
The GAA have selected their top five points of the year and as ever, it is impossible to keep everybody happy. This time it is us who politely disagree with some of their choices.

We will not even attempt to say that some of the chosen points were not good scores; they were all fantastic points. We actually think, in fact, that Tony Kelly’s effort could easily have been higher on the list.
We just think that Eoin Larkin and John O’Dwyer are extremely unfortunate to miss out on the list for their efforts in both All-Ireland finals.
Larkin’s effort in the second half of the replay was a tremendous score over his shoulder which he managed to curl over the bar…
O’Dwyer’s effort is exceptional because he beat two men to the ball while showing he has ice in his veins to level the match…
But hey, you can’t please everyone after all.
