Reports suggest that 12 people have been killed and ten seriously injured as a result of an attack in Paris this morning.
The shootings were carried out at the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, which is famous for having published satirical cartoons featuring the Prophet Mohammed in 2012, which were the source of huge controversy at the time.
It is believed that at least two gunmen opened fire in the building with Kalashnikov assault rifles, with officials reporting that 12 people have been killed and a further ten injured.
Police and emergency services arrived at the scene shortly afterwards, as did French President Francois Hollande, who described the shootings as “a terrorist attack”.
