“Remarkably stupid” according to the judge…
Most of us have been turned away from a nightclub at some point in our lives due to a strict dress policy, the room being at full capacity or being blind drunk not being on the list.
While the majority of us would probably smile, turn away and find the nearest watering hole it seems that one backpacker has a different mind altogether.
The 18-year-old was twice thrown out of the Sin City nightclub in Surfers Paradise but refused to take no for an answer as he desperately and stupidly tried to get back inside.
He decided to sneak into the nightclub via an air vent only to get stuck. That’s not the best part though because the police were then called to the scene after some of the other clubbers overheard his cries of anguish from the vent.
The teenager is working in Australia on a year-long working visa and was summoned to appear before a Queensland court where he pleaded guilty to charges of trespassing and wilful damage.
The teenager was charged with causing €1,800 in damages while the judge described his actions as “remarkably stupid”.
The club must have been playing his favourite song inside or something but our minds instantly turn to this clip after hearing this story.
