The Jameson First Shot film competition is back for a fourth year.
In partnership with the living legend that is Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti of Trigger Street Productions, Jameson is on the hunt for the globe’s most gifted, undiscovered filmmakers with captivating stories to tell.

Three talented winners will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have their scripts turned into short films and to direct Adrien Brody in the lead role. The excellent actor will play the lead in this year’s winning films, a natural match for the competition as his own journey from unknown actor to Oscar-winner was far from easy.
Jaysus, what a handsome man and not bad for a First Shot. The winning shorts will then be premiered in LA with the acclaimed team in attendance.
We’ll just ready our tux now, shall we?
Here are the official entry guidelines from Jameson themselves:
Simply write an original piece of work, with the final draft being no more than seven pages in length. The story should reveal, with lightness of touch, the epic that is to be found in everyday experiences.
Closing date for entries is 1st February 2015. More information on the rules, including length and theme, can be found at http://www.jamesonfirstshot.com/.
So what are you waiting for? Get entering.
Last year’s short films starred Uma Thurman and one of the winners just sold his first full length script. It’s a great platform for budding screen writers and this year is the first time it has been open to Irish entrants.
